 Position Overview

In the available roles as a Survey Fix Team Lead, the candidates will engage with residents, who will request a survey of the apartment/home and walkthrough to determine the fixes they find. The candidate will use a proven survey model to capture the fixes they find. The candidates must be current Brownsville residents and be organized and responsive via phone, email, or text. Individuals need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when entering homes, be able to review materials, and take accurate notes that are required to capture accurate data. The Survey Fix Team Leader’s role must be to be detail-oriented and maintain survey quality accuracy.

The survey fix team leader’s role is part-time, and total work hours are 5 to 10 hours per week, on 2 weekdays of your choice plus a Saturday.

 Overall

  • Serve as a trusted partner and active listener with residents and partners to grow participation in CAHH and foster continuous feedback.  
  • Accuracy and detail are key in capturing survey data information.
  • Time originated must maintain scheduled appointments and arrive to schedule appointments promptly.

Community Action for Healthy Homes SURVEY FIX TEAM LEADER 

With guidance from the CAHH Program Manager & Data Manager, the survey fix team leader is responsible for the following:

  • Attend scheduled surveys and administer the survey fixes and design
  • Ensure that all surveys are completed with accuracy by survey team members
  • Scanning & uploading all surveys and photos to a central location
  • Input data collected after the survey fix
  • Participate in team training
  • Perform non-technical repairs on plumbing, electrical, and safety measures in the apartment/home.
  • Keep track of tools in the supply kits and during the surveys
  • Perform supply inventory of all items in the tool kit when items begin to run low
  • Ensuring team members are prepared for survey fixes
  • Stand in for team members who are not able to attend a survey fix, take the lead
  • Ensure prompt arrival at all survey appointments
  • Timely communication with the supervisor promptly when you are not able to attend a survey fix
  • Be comfortable with making follow-up calls with surveys and fixes that have been completed. 
  • Ensure that survey team members are filling out the sign-in sheet accurately.

Software/Apps Used 

For Survey Fix Team Leaders

  • Some computer skills are needed. Google Drive – Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Groups
  • Microsoft Office, including Access Database in the Office suite. (Supervisor will train)
  • Knowledge of using printing and scanning documents

Travel Requirements And Work Environment

  • Will need to attend team meetings in person
  • Must be comfortable engaging people in their homes
  • You will need to travel to the 519 Rockaway office before the survey fix and then to the survey fix’s apartment/home — the company will supply transportation to locations far from the office site. 
  • Be able to lift 30 pounds, walk short distances, and climb stairs.
