Description:
This role directs institutional marketing for Juilliard, overseeing brand awareness and supporting contributed and mission-driven revenue efforts. Together, these efforts support accessibility to the highest-quality arts education for the next generation of innovative and collaborative performing artists in music, dance, and drama.
The director will work closely with colleagues in communications and marketing and across Juilliard to create exciting, creative, and cost-effective ways to share the Juilliard story with new and existing audiences while using the spectrum of paid and owned platforms. This role will create a range of campaigns that support our philanthropic efforts, 800+ annual performances, mission-driven earned revenue efforts, and other campaigns, all in support of Juilliard’s overall mission and narrative.
The annual salary for this position is $110,000.

Role Responsibilities:
Create innovative campaigns that help define Juilliard for a new generation of prospective students, patrons, donors, and the public.
Use paid and owned media to build awareness for Juilliard’s mission.
Collaborating with cross-departmental leadership, develop campaign strategies for free and ticketed events, Juilliard Extension, Hire Juilliard Performers, and the Juilliard Store.
Working in collaboration with fundraising, support campaign, and philanthropic initiatives with creative and data-driven marketing.
Ideate, create, and deploy joyful social ad campaigns
Build, test, deploy, and oversee all institutional email campaigns, including monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on email performance
Develop and manage performance season marketing campaign, leading close collaboration with artistic departments, box office, development, recital operations, media production, and public affairs teams
Support improved analytics management that continuously optimizes our campaigns
Support Search Engine Marketing and implement and manage paid social media campaigns
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience, including demonstrated experience with marketing, communications, campaign building, and business development
A skilled marketer who has a history of creating and managing successful campaigns.
Mastery of digital marketing skills, including, social, search, and digital ad-buying.
Natural collaborator who works seamlessly with colleagues across the organization
Excellent written communication skills, including copywriting and editing
Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks within a fast-paced business environment
Ability to troubleshoot and identify technical issues and communicate effectively with internal constituents and external vendors
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to represent the Juilliard brand well in all aspects of the job
Hands-on experience with CRM, CMS, email, and ticketing platforms such as Eloqua, Campus Solutions (Oracle), Raiser’s Edge, & Spektrix
Sharp eye for design and layout; experience in the use of image editing software
Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS helpful
Preferred Background:
Significant exposure to and/or knowledge of the performing arts or experience working in higher education are preferred
Master’s level education is a plus
