CLC Group Services, Inc., is the business administration services company for all affiliates within CLC Group, including CLC Group Services, Inc., Community Living Corporation, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Metro NY.
Community Living Corporation is a nonprofit organization that provides residential and day services to developmentally disabled adults in Northern Westchester County. Community Living Corporation is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team!
About the Role
As a DSP, you’ll provide hands-on support to clients with daily living activities, health management, and community engagement. Your role is essential in ensuring the emotional, physical, and social well-being of the people we support!
Our staff must maintain high confidentiality regarding client matters and keep a safe, comfortable, and clean environment for clients. All staff are required to work at any site as needed, and can be re-assigned to another location within the agency or may be required to do split shifts between locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, and grooming.
- Administer and document medications accurately.
- Support meal planning, cooking, and dietary needs.
- Implement behavioral support strategies and crisis management techniques.
- Provide transportation to appointments, programs, and community activities.
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting.
- Encourage independence and support household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and budgeting.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with all staff members, including Administration, Accounting, Residential, Health Services, Human Resources, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Vocational.
Medical Responsibilities
Direct Support staff provide essential medical and daily living support to clients, with additional duties assigned by supervisors (PA, RN, or other) as needed. Responsibilities include:
- Medication administration and secure documentation.
- Health monitoring (vitals, behavior, sleep patterns) and reporting to Health Services.
- First aid, CPR, and emergency response readiness.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
- Understanding, implementing, and documenting each client’s Residential Habilitation Plan.

Signing Bonus up to $1000.00 (*Full Time Employees – $500.00 upon hire and $500.00 upon completion of a probationary period and required trainings.)
