Overview

Girls Who Code was established with a singular mission—to close the gender gap in technology fields by educating and equipping girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Workforce Programs, the Manager, Partner Operations will liaise with corporate partners to collaborate on the development and execution of workforce programs supporting college-aged and early career Girls Who Code community members.

Many of Girls Who Code’s workforce programs are developed in collaboration with corporate hiring partners in order to prepare participants for roles in the tech industry by aligning the  programmatic content and experiences with the hiring needs of the partner. These programs, including Work Prep, Technical Interview Prep, and other pilots, require thoughtful, organized cooperation with hiring partners to ensure that application criteria, program content, and communications meet both student and partner needs.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of demonstrated experience in operations, client services, and/or account management. They are comfortable working on highly-visible, fast-paced projects with multiple stakeholders. They are skilled communicators (written and verbal) and able to balance multiple priorities.

This is a full-time position that is based in New York City. A regular, hybrid work schedule, requiring 2 days in the office, is currently in place. Subject to change. We are not considering remote applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with a small number of workforce program corporate partners (“partners”) who co-create content for Girls Who Code workforce programs 
  • Support Sr. Manager, Workforce Programs in partner onboarding for workforce programs, including creation of materials and documentation
  • Serve as the main point of contact for partner programmatic questions, issues, and communications, including escalation and higher level decision-making on complex partner requests.
  • Creating and delivering regular reporting cadences for partners on statistics and feedback
  • Liaise with partner contacts to manage the collaborative elements of co-created workforce programs, including decision timelines, application criteria, volunteer cultivation, and content development.
  • Create processes and documentation for partner operations, i.e. handbooks, toolkits, templates, etc. for repeated programs to make collaboration more efficient and standardized
  • Participate in brainstorms and framing discussions for new workforce pilot programs
  • Support the post-program analysis and debrief process to improve future iterations
  • Advocate for Girls Who Code alumni and help develop relationships and opportunities to further their learning and professional growth 

Requirements

  • At least 4 years prior experience in client services, operations, account management, corporate social responsibility, or related field
  • Detail-oriented; superb organizational skills 
  • Experience working with complex operations, workflows, and systems; as well as designing and implementing new processes
  • Orientation towards customer service, excited to creatively problem-solve and look for unique solutions to meet partner and/or student needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate nuanced positions and enforce deadlines and requests with courtesy and respect
  • Strong project management skills, alongside an ability to anticipate, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where projects may be re-scoped or pivoted to better address organizational needs.
  • Desire to learn and grow as part of a small organization; team player with a flexible, creative, and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary (~10%)
