Job Summary

This Digital Marketing Associate will sit on the Direct Marketing team within the External Relations team. The role will support new and existing initiatives to raise funds, engage and steward constituents as well as support website administration. The position will be closely involved with a broad spectrum of Action Against Hunger’s work in digital fundraising and digital campaigns, including paid media, email marketing, SMS, data and analytics, conversion rate optimization, and website updates and administration. The Digital Marketing Associate reports to and works closely with the Digital Lead. This role also supports the Senior Digital Marketing Officer as well as others on the External Relations Team.

Purpose: Support new and existing initiatives to raise funds digitally, drive acquisition, engage and steward constituents as well as support website administration

Engagement: Collaborates with the digital team as well a the wider External Relations team to reach fundraising goals, reporting to the Digital Lead

Delivery: Effectively provides digital fundraising support, working across a breadth of digital fundraising activities

 Essential Job Duties

Support email and SMS marketing programs (30%)

  • Assist with rollout of strategy and implementation of email and SMS programs, including all appeals and stewardship campaigns
  • Review and provide feedback on copy, segmentation and provide QA on emails and SMS deployed.
  • Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Officer and Fundraising Systems team to produce and refresh automated drip campaigns, to steward and retain donors
  • Maintain email and SMS calendar and dashboard.

Support the Paid Media Program (30%)

  • Project manage creative asset creation process with agency for digital advertising where needed
  • Manage vendor invoicing
  • Assist on paid media campaigns including lead gen and direct fundraising
  • Assist in paid media strategy, reporting, and creative deployment

Website Administration (25%)

  • Implement website updates for other teams
  • Update donate pages/forms/receipts as needed
  • QA website functionality and website changes 
  • Provide general analytics and metric reporting requests from Google Analytics 

Administration (10%)

  • Support with administrative duties such as:
  • Scheduling digital team meetings
  • Co-ordinating agendas and recording actions
  • Processing vendor invoices

Other duties as assigned (5%)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in digital marketing

Required Skills & Experience

  • Two or more years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience with a variety of digital platforms like MailChimp (email), Funraise (donation platform) and Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce (CRMs)
  • Intermediary skills in Photoshop, HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with digital marketing metrics and most common channels
  • Familiarity with the WordPress CMS 
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools like Basecamp
  • Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a real “can do” attitude
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills 
  • Good editorial and writing skills, especially in web and email marketing contexts 
  • Positive and collaborative
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Must be vaccinated
