Supervisor: Director, Interactive Screening Program

Position Summary:

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention seeks a Manager, Interactive Screening Program (ISP) to support AFSP’s signature prevention program, Interactive Screening Program (ISP). Under the guidance of the Director of ISP, the Manager will be responsible for providing the highest quality of service and support to program sites, including the mental health professionals and other staff who operationalize the program at institutions of higher education, organizations and agencies, and large private and public sector employers to engage people proactively into mental health services. This will include managing the client onboarding process as well as current client requests and needs to provide timely, comprehensive support for program implementation and technical assistance. This position is part of a dynamic dedicated team, the Programs & Workplace Initiatives Department, who are driven by the desire to support people in need.

 

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, methodical, efficient, passionate about working with people, and able to manage the flow of multiple project streams at one time. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator of concise, accurate, deadline-driven information with project management experience or skillset. We are seeking someone who takes initiative and anticipates needs, as well as displays professionalism, curiosity, and willingness to learn. 

 This position is a hybrid of remote and in-person, with ability to work remotely most of the time with the occasional in-person meeting (1-2 times a month) at times mutually agreed upon. New York City area location is preferred, but we will consider a fully remote option for strong candidates. Occasional travel (1-2 times per year) for promotion of ISP at national conference exhibits may become an opportunity as well.

 Responsibilities:

·        Manage day-to-day client support, guidance, and knowledge resources to ensure optimal program utilization and effectiveness

·        Manage ISP client onboarding process, implementing strategies and processes that deliver consistent client satisfaction through all phases of the customer lifecycle and that promote retention

·        With guidance from Director of ISP, collaborates with team members to develop and deliver customer-facing solutions and tools

  • Maintain knowledge of the ISP website content management system; coordinate with Director and technical specialists to update and revise website content and functionality as needed
  • With support from Director of ISP, assist with marketing and promotion of AFSP’s Interactive Screening Program with external partners, building external relationships with a wide variety of professional settings and working collaboratively with internal and external partners

Educations, Skills and Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in relevant social or behavioral science preferred

·        Minimum 3 years’ experience in program implementation or project management, preferably in non-profit environment

·        Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative, organizational and project coordination skills, including timely, comprehensive follow-through on tasks

·        Highly motivated individual with ability to work in fast, dynamic work environment

·        Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) and experience with customer relationship management software a plus

·        Exceptional writing, communication and interpersonal skills, and as well as problem-solving skills and ability
