EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
– Bachelor’s degree
– Minimum 5 years of experience in grant management
– This organization is a start-up so the Grant Manager must be a creative and entrepreneurial self-starter
– Excellent leadership, judgment, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to represent an organization in a professional manner
– Superb verbal and written communication skills
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Positive attitude, collaborative and willing to learn
– The position is remote, but applicants should reside in NYC as that is the Amplify Her Charitable Foundation’s geographic focus and be available for in-person meetings and occasional networking events which may take place outside of traditional business hours.
– Adept at using MS Office, Google Workspace and content management systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Advanced degree in nonprofit management or relevant field
– Prior experience working at a nonprofit or foundation
– Demonstrated commitment to the Foundation’s mission

RESPONSIBILITIES
– Work with Board and consultants to commission research and use findings to inform grant strategy
– Determine timeline and focus of 2023 grant cycle
– Select and implement tools required for grant management process
– Conduct outreach to prospective grantees
– Execute and streamline various aspects of grant-making process including cultivating submissions, managing due diligence, deliberations and communications
– Define and maintain reporting systems for grantees that ensure that procedures, budgeting and administrative policies are being followed
– Prepare annual report for the Foundation
– Gather program information, press, images, stories to convey impact of grants
– Implement an iterative feedback-based model that serves grantees and establishes credibility of foundation’s grant giving
– Engage in key networking and relationship-building with existing and new partners
– Develop programs that augment grant-giving, such as convenings and educating policymakers
– Provide timely and compliant board reporting with Legal
– Collaborate with Communications firm on press releases, social media and other tools to share details on grant process and recipients
– Co-Create Advisory Council with founder
– Recruit, train and manage additional team members (consultants, interns, possibly additional staff spending on needs)
– Perform other related duties as assigned

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $100K-$110K, commensurate with experience.

About Amplify Her Charitable Foundation

Amplify Her Charitable Foundation is a new private grant-giving 501(c)(3) with the mission of developing women leaders from underserved communities through educational opportunities, career training, internships, mentorship and more. We are seeking an experienced Grants Manager with superb communication and organizational skills and an entrepreneurial spirit to build the Foundation’s grant-making infrastructure and cultivate partnerships in the New York City area. The Grants Manager will work directly with the Foundation’s founder and will play a key role in launching the Foundation’s inaugural grant cycle in 2023.
