POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Intern will assist with various marketing and communication activities to promote Brooklyn Org’s initiatives and events. This role offers hands-on experience in non-profit marketing, digital media, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about our mission and eager to contribute to impactful campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event Support: Participate in and assist with fall events, including preparation, setup, and helping during evening and weekend events.
- Event Promotion: Contribute to the marketing of events by assisting with promotional strategies and materials.
- Campaign Support: Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, including email campaigns, fundraising drives, and community outreach efforts.
- Brand Partnership and Outreach: Support efforts in building and maintaining brand partnerships, including creating marketing decks for brand partnerships and sponsorships.
- Brooklyn Gives: Contribute to Brooklyn Gives, a philanthropic initiative that supports community projects, nonprofits, and local initiatives in Brooklyn.
- Merchandise: Organize Brooklyn Org merchandise and supplies, and research new merchandise items.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Passion for non-profit work and community engagement.
