Nature of
Work
The Senior Accountant is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all accounting activities
concerning billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities
· Corporate AR – Prepare all monthly, and quarterly billing for the main corporation including Partnership Management Fees, Property Management Fees, Repair and Maintenance Fees, Administering Agent Fees, Development Consulting Fees, etc.,and maintain schedules
· Complete monthly Financial Reports for all entities for distribution to various interested and invested parties including clients
·Review monthly contract vouchers and reports prepared by the Contracts Administrator
·Ensure all monthly utility payments including Con Edison, Real Estate Tax, Water & Sewer, and Insurance are paid timely by the Audit Bookkeeper and are accurately tracked
· Monitor AR, AP, and General Ledger for deposit errors and entry errors, etc. Make necessary corrections
·Prepare wires and bank transfers
·Assist Director with monthly reconciliation and close procedures
·Assist Director in setting up quarterly financial reports for all LP’s
· Process annual journal entries to record depreciation, amortization, and bad debt expense
· Assist Director in creating annual budgets and cash flow projections
· Assist Director in monitoring the general ledger and various financial analyses
· Work with Director to complete quarterly and annual audits
· Adhoc financial analysis as requested by Director
