Program Administrator – Professional Prizes

Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism

 

Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism is seeking a Program Administrator for its Professional Journalism Prizes. This person is primarily responsible for the administration of various annual journalism prizes including the solicitation of entries; the judging of the prizes; and the coordination of public events, ceremonies and panels. Creates and writes various communications around the purpose of awards, and the entry procedures, to professional journalists, students and the general public through mailings, advertisements, email and social media. Organizes and processes financial transactions for the department. Updates web pages in foreign languages. Maintains communication with Spanish-language prize applicants and winners. Coordinates writing of awards-related content in Spanish. Portuguese language skills are also helpful.

 

A bachelor’s degree and/or its equivalent required, as well as a minimum of 2 years’ related experience.
