Overview

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) creates innovative educational resources that seek to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and perspective—the global literacy—required to understand the forces, ideas, and institutions that shape today’s world. These resources include World101, a growing library of multimedia primers that explain the fundamentals of international relations and U.S. foreign policy; Model Diplomacy, a multimedia simulation program that invites students to play the role of members of the National Security Council and UN Security Council; and Convene the Council, an educational video game developed in collaboration with iCivics to teach students as young as twelve how foreign policy is made. Each product comes with companion teaching resources and activities appropriate for a specific target audience, be it high school teachers, college professors, and/or their students.

Working under the supervision of CFR’s Vice President for Education, the Director, Education Content, will supervise and collaborate with a small team to pitch, research, and draft content for the World101 and Model Diplomacy platforms and a planned climate literacy course. The selected candidate will also work with Education’s marketing team and Director, Teaching and Learning to design and ensure the relevance and accuracy of visually driven content for newsletters, social media, and teaching resources related to these products.
