Project
MSF-USA is seeking a Data Management Associate to join our growing team as we build out our modern tech stack, including Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Springboard, a data warehouse, and multiple system integrations.
The Data Management Associate will work closely with fundraising stakeholders and the CRM Strategy team to ensure that data in our systems is clean and accurate so that we can understand and communicate effectively with our donors.
The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented, curious problem solver who is eager to learn new technologies and develop creative strategies to maintain and improve data hygiene. It is also an excellent growth opportunity for someone interested in learning the Salesforce platform and earning a Salesforce Administrator certification.
Tasks
- Work directly with fundraising stakeholders on data hygiene-related projects, working to understand specific data challenges and resolve them through manual data entry or automated uploads/clean-up processes
- Work to proactively identify and resolve data irregularities, including duplicate records and
- Regularly monitor reports showing changes in database records, diagnosing and resolving problems
- Modify existing reports and create additional reports to further support data hygiene efforts
- Gain familiarity with and support MSF business processes
- Follow established business rules around data hygiene, governance, and data entry standards, recommending process improvements as needed
- Work with Salesforce Administrator on technical tasks as time and knowledge permit, including:
- Issue troubleshooting and resolution
- Salesforce report creation
- Data uploads
- Additional assignments as required
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 1-year relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and proactively, comfortable with a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems
- Experience using the Office 365 suite, including Excel and SharePoint
- Experience with nonprofits and fundraising practices
- Interest in learning Salesforce Administrator technical skillset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commitment to MSF mission and humanitarian principles
Expected to work in a hybrid work environment with the ability to come into either the NYC office or regional hub (Washington, DC or Bay Area, California) a minimum of 2 times a week.
