Department
Our dynamic Development Department is responsible for raising over $750 million annually to support the mission of the organization.
Project
The Integrations Manager will manage all integrations and data flows between our fundraising systems, maintaining and enhancing our integration routines to increase efficiency, improve data quality, and support the Development department’s strategic goals.
This role is essential to ensuring that data moves accurately and reliably between our systems, allowing the fundraising organization to meet operational needs and make data-driven decisions. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical acumen as well as creative problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a desire to learn new tools and methodologies.
Tasks
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot existing integrations between fundraising systems, including:
- Mulesoft build/SFTP (vendor donation files, NetSuite)
- Civis data warehouse connection
- Springboard connector
- SFMC connector
- Vendor files (ROI, Lautman, BSD)
- Donor Drive ETL
- Lead process of enhancing existing integration routines and creating new integrations, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation
- Create documentation for data definitions, system integration mappings, and data flows
- Support ongoing data hygiene by identifying problems and proposing solutions
- Support data conversions by extracting and manipulating data
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness, simplifying, increasing reliability and automation, and reducing manual work
- Keep abreast of trends in integration strategy and of Mulesoft system releases, features, and best practices, making recommendations to leaders about new tools and features as appropriate
- Deepen MSF’s technical knowledge around integrations and learn new platforms and skills as needed
- Serve as an internal expert and advisor on integrations strategy
- Provide input in the development of the product roadmap for fundraising systems with the CRM Director and other leaders
- Work closely with Data and Analytics team to support their efforts to improve reporting and analysis, including SQL-related data projects
- Work with Systems (IT) department on shared projects and maintenance of infrastructure related to Development needs
- Additional assignments as required
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum three years of related work experience; degree in computer science or statistics preferred
- Understanding of relational databases
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise integration platforms to transform datasets into required output
- Demonstrated experience extracting and manipulating data and comparing complex data sets via SQL
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret data, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Facility with modern coding languages such as Mule, Apex, Python, and SQL
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize competing projects, working independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
Preferred
- Familiarity with nonprofits and fundraising business practices
- Experience working with large data volumes
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Mulesoft, and related tools and coding languages
Expected to work in a hybrid work environment with the ability to come into either the NYC office or regional hub (Washington, DC or Bay Area, California) a minimum of 2 times a week.
