Overview
Introduction to Education For Sharing (E4S)
Since its founding in 2007, Education for Sharing (E4S) has reached more than 1.5 million beneficiaries (children, teenagers, teachers, families, and communities) in nine countries with its unique play-reflect-act framework to engage children and youth to play, get involved, and think critically. We use fun, collaborative games to inspire participants to reflect upon essential topics of character, values, and equality.
Rigorous program evaluation reveals:
Participating children and youth demonstrate 65% greater recognition of issues related to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an increase of 67% in the practice of gender equality. 99% of teachers and educators find the methodology a source of new tools for their pedagogical practice 82% of our beneficiaries feel capable of solving current challenges in their community. A 70% decrease in violent behaviors among participating students.
In response to the COVID19 pandemic, our online campaign launched in July 2020, #AlsoAtHome, has reached more than 5 million children, caretakers, and educators worldwide. In 2020 E4S took its first steps into public policy alongside the Mexican President’s office and the Ministry of Education by launching the first SDG and 2030 Agenda booklet for every 6th-grade student across Mexico. Millions of children have benefited from it. The textbook can be found online at:
