Overview

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Social Media & Content Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and collaborating on strategies to grow and engage audiences across Education Through Music’s digital and social media channels. The position requires the ability to find innovative ways of building an online presence and will work collaboratively across departments to strengthen Education Through Music’s online identity and voice.

The position requires an energetic team player who is a self-starter with strong writing and graphic design skills. The Social Media & Content Coordinator will also be available to attend school visits and community events across New York CIty to capture stories, photos, and videos.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate upon and implement a results-driven social media strategy to drive engagement and build audiences
  • Create, curate, and share high-quality, compelling, and relevant content (written, video, photo) for all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Manage and update the social media calendar
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and external partners on paid social media campaigns and strategy
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
  • Coordinate and recommend social and digital tools, best practices, and strategies to optimize online outreach efforts
  • Collaborate on building brand ambassador and influencer strategy
  • Create and update social media toolkits for external partners, artists, and influencers
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics
  • Support the Marketing team in the writing, design, and production of digital and print communications materials (eblasts, one-pagers, presentations, website content, signage, photos and videos)
  • Collaborate across departments to capture and communicate student, teacher, and community success stories for use on social media, eblasts, blog posts 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing & Communications or ETM leadership.

This is a part-time hybrid work position within NYC.  

The Salary is $31,000
