Overview

Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest gun violence prevention advocacy group, is seeking an administrator to assist the Supporter Growth and Cultivation team with fundraising and donor database support.  This is a temporary position that is expected to end in late winter of 2024 or spring 2025, depending on the volume of work.  This ideal candidate for this role is a highly organized, detail- and deadline-oriented individual. 

In this role, you will:

  • Process donations — including, but not limited to:
  • Entering wire transfer information
  • Entering stocks transfer information
  • Manual transaction over the phone
  • Processing Direct Mail reply mail
  • Uploading bulk attribution information
  • Processing checks
  • Processing matching gift
  • Respond to donor inquiries in a timely manner – Answering questions about donation information, assisting donors with updating their recurring donations, completing matching gift requests, removal from mailing lists, etc.
  • Mail donor acknowledgment letters as needed (email and postage)
  • Processing return-to-send mail
  • Enter small dollar batches into database
  • Execute various data entry and data hygiene tasks

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and Google Drive required
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Administrative experience required
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Previous experience with databases preferred
  • Ability to discreetly handle confidential donor information
