Overview
Everytown Law seeks talented, creative, and thoughtful future attorneys to work as Legal Interns. We are looking for law students who are ready and eager to engage in high-level constitutional and impact litigation and join the fight to save lives. Internships are available for summer 2025 and can be based in either our New York City or Washington, D.C. office.
Everytown Law is part of Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund, the education, research and litigation arm of the nation’s leading gun violence prevention organization. We are the largest team of impact litigators in the country dedicated to advocating in the courts for gun violence prevention—one of the most pressing issues of our time.
Everytown Law engages in two primary areas of litigation:
- Affirmative litigation to seek accountability and reform of the gun industry’s dangerous business practices, take on dangerous gun lobby-backed laws that conflict with constitutional protections, and enforce gun violence prevention laws.
- Defense of common-sense, life-saving gun laws against Second Amendment challenges in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decisions in NYSRPA v. Bruen and United States v. Rahimi, under the umbrella of Everytown Center for the Defense of Gun Safety.
Our team also produces independent and rigorous legal scholarship on the Second Amendment and other gun violence prevention issues. You can learn about our team and its work at https://everytownlaw.org/.

Our interns will have a high level of responsibility and be fully involved in our work and practice including federal and state court litigation practice, legal research and analysis, strategy development, complaint drafting, trial court and appellate brief writing as well as Second Amendment research and amicus brief development.
