Overview

Everytown Law seeks a creative and thoughtful researcher and investigator for a full-time Litigation Researcher & Investigator.

OUR MISSION AND PRACTICE

We believe every person has the right to live free from gun violence. It’s our mission to make this belief a reality. We are looking for a researcher who wants to join the fight for the right of every person to live free from gun violence. Our practice includes representing survivors seeking accountability for reckless practices in the gun industry, and we advocate on behalf of marginalized communities most impacted by gun violence. Our clients include students, parents, civil rights organizations, elected officials, domestic violence coalitions, and cities and towns seeking to advance gun safety in communities across the country. You can learn about our work and our team at https://everytownlaw.org/.

Everytown Law is part of Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund, the education, research and litigation arm of Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s biggest gun violence prevention organization. We are the largest team of impact litigators in the country dedicated to advocating in the courts for gun violence prevention—one of the most pressing issues of our time.

Everytown Law engages in two primary areas of litigation:

  1. Affirmative litigation to (a) seek accountability and reform of the gun industry’s dangerous business practices, (b) take on dangerous gun lobby-backed laws that conflict with constitutional protections, and (c) enforce gun violence prevention laws.
  2. Defense of common-sense, life-saving gun laws against Second Amendment challenges in the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen, under the umbrella of the newly launched Everytown Center for the Defense of Gun Safety.
