Position Overview:

The Fund for the City of New York seeks a Portfolio Manager Fellow in its Partner Project Program for a one-year fellowship opportunity.

The Partner Project Program provides comprehensive administrative, operational and financial management support to over 80 nonprofit partners with a broad range of missions. The Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of partner projects and serve as the main contact between the Fund and the partner projects in their portfolio.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be flexible, dedicated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include:

• Either currently in a graduate program or a recent (within 2 years) graduate from an undergraduate or graduate program.

• Related work experience in nonprofit organizations or government agencies is a plus.

• Knowledge of financial management and budgeting tools.

• Proficient in Excel, including the ability to create formulas and new templates.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clearly.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and also independently.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and manage multiple demands and projects.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Knowledge of grants management and/or government contracting processes is a plus.
