Overview
The Senior Visiting Counselor/ QMHP has two major areas of responsibility in the Apartment Treatment Program. They are program responsibilities and reporting responsibilities. The Senior Visiting Counselor is responsible for providing and overseeing the rehabilitative services in accordance with NYS OMH and OMIG, that are provided by the staff utilizing person centered principles of recovery for severely and persistently mentally ill adults. The Senior Visiting Counselor is responsible for assuming the role of the Unit Director when he/she is absent or so directed by the Program Director.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in human services
Experience: Applicant must have one year’s experience as a Visiting Counselor in an Apartment Treatment Program or at least 24 months as a Case Manager in a Supported Housing Program, serving a similar population.
Salary: Annualized at 51,554 plus benefits. (3,000 sign on bonus if hired)
