Overview

Hadar seeks a Digital Media Associate to be an online voice and content creator, responsible for building and maintaining Hadar’s social media presence across priority platforms and establishing a consistent look, feel, and tone for all social media content. This is a creative and design-focused role that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. The Digital Media Associate will report to the Senior Director of Communications and will work closely with other staff on the Engagement, Development, Content, and Program teams. This position is based in New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Hadar’s accounts and relevant faculty accounts
  • Identify and execute new strategies for growing social media audiences and deepening engagement
  • Produce digital content for virality, presence, and audience growth
  • Experience using social media analytics to improve performance
  • Develop digital campaigns to engage new audiences and promote Hadar content
  • Design social media graphics and/or collaborate with design vendors
  • Design promotional print materials for distribution across the organization
  • Update and maintain podcast feeds
  • Manage Hadar’s photo archive
  • Assist Engagement, Development, Content, and Program teams with occasional communication needs including layout, design, writing, and editing

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Experience with Adobe graphic software such as Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Experience using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to promote content and engagement
  • Experience using social media analytics to improve performance
  • Experience with low-level bookkeeping
  • 2-4 years managing social media or producing digital content for a nonprofit, campaign, or agency
  • Background in Jewish text learning a plus
  • Video editing skills a plus
  • Hebrew language skills a plus

Salary:

The salary range for this position is $50-60,000.
