Overview
The Marketing and Development Manager will plan and oversee the creation and implementation of Hammerstone’s marketing and development goals. The manager will work closely with the Executive director to craft a strategic marketing plan and with our communications specialist to implement marketing tactics. The manager is responsible for creating a development strategic plan in conjunction with leadership, and for implementing development tactics. The manager will be responsible for communication with prospective students, current students, tiny house project sponsors, and other inquiries directed towards Hammerstone School.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with leadership to develop a development strategy and tactical plan
- Implement development plan
- Track development results and report to leadership
- Work with team on incorporating fundraising into all aspects of Hammerstone’s engagement
- Work with leadership to develop a marketing strategy and tactical plan
- Work with communications specialist in the implementation of marketing plan
- Implement additional marketing tactics as needed
- Track marketing results and report to leadership
- Help direct and troubleshoot the end user web experience
- Answer emailed inquiries and manage student communications
- Manage tiny house sponsorship solicitation
- Represent Hammerstone professionally
- All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) salaried position that is based in Ithaca, NY. It is on-site with some flexibility to work from home. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional weekend commitments required. Flexibility will be provided as needed, especially to make up for weekend work. The final schedule will be established in collaboration with the supervisor.
