Job Description:

The IIE Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF) is the only global program that arranges, funds, and supports fellowships for threatened and displaced scholars at partnering higher education institutions worldwide. The Partnerships & Communications Analyst is responsible for leading and supporting initiatives related to IIE-SRF’s partnerships and communications, including IIE-SRF’s website, newsletter, and global partnership network (IIE-SRF Alliance). The individual in this role will have a documented history working with diverse constituencies and across different cultures.

The Institute of International Education (“IIE”) has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework at any of the locations listed above. 

Essential Functions:

• Edit, draft, and help conceptualize IIE-SRF’s public communications, including The Beacon newsletter, program documents, PowerPoints, and media / op-eds.

• Lead content development, writing, and editing for the IIE-SRF website and oversee IIE-SRF’s work with relevant external vendors.

• Manage and develop content for IIE-SRF’s social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

• Manage the partner portal for the IIE-SRF Alliance (IIE-SRF’s global partnership initiative), responding to inquiries and sending partner onboarding emails.

• Draft Alliance messages to inform the partner network and content updates for Alliance webpage on the IIE-SRF website.

• Develop, produce, maintain, and organize Alliance partner resources in consultation with IIE-SRF Director and Grants & Communications Specialist. May include documents, PowerPoints, live and recorded webinars, and other media.

• Support communication and outreach strategies for expanding the Alliance, including targeted outreach and social media campaigns.

• Manage the relationships with IIE-SRF Alliance ambassadors and organizational partners, including connecting them to IIE-SRF scholars in need of support services. 

• Develop and coordinate opportunities to create and strengthen IIE-SRF partnerships and leverage IIE partnerships, such as the IIENetwork membership base.

• Manage the process for evaluating and confirming new and prospective Alliance partners, including coordinating across the IIE-SRF team.

• Develop and maintain IIE-SRF statistical reports. Provide analytics and insights to IIE-SRF team and contribute to donor reports. Initiate data maintenance for partner contact / account updates and other team data entry updates.

• Support design of graphics and charts for use in communications and outreach materials.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related work experience, or combination education and experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills, including superior writing and proofreading abilities.

• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Superior attention to detail.

• Experienced with data entry and database management, preferably with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

• Website content management experience, knowledge of social media marketing, and experience with editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Canva is preferred.

• Flexibility, initiative, and problem-solving abilities to learn new systems, techniques, and procedures.

Essential functions are performed in a general office setting with low noise.
