Overview
Lycée Français de New York, a French-American school with a strong English program, has an opening for a Maternity Leave Replacement in the Elementary English Department beginning in mid-September. We are looking for a teacher who:
- is interested in working in a bilingual French/English setting
- has experience teaching grades 1-5
- has training in Childhood Education with a bachelor’s degree or higher
- has training/background in English/ ELA
- has a strong writing and speaking skills in English
- is innovative and technology-savvy
- enjoys collaborating on curriculum and project-based learning
- is adaptable, flexible and willing to teach several different grades
- has a commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging
- has some proficiency in French and is willing to learn more
