Description

The Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University (NYU Wagner) seeks to hire a full-time contract (non-tenure track) faculty member with expertise in healthcare financial management or healthcare management. The principal responsibilities include teaching in two masters-degree programs: an online Master of Health Administration (MHA) and an on-campus Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Health Policy and Management. 

The faculty member will also have administrative responsibilities related to the direction of a health program.   

The successful candidate will join NYU Wagner’s full-time faculty and should have a strong interest in interacting with faculty, students, and staff in a multi-disciplinary professional school of public service.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must hold an earned graduate or professional degree.  
  • Candidates must have at least five years of professional healthcare finance-related experience or five years of senior healthcare leadership experience.
  • Candidates must be Fellows of the Healthcare Financial Management Association® (HFMA) or Fellows of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
  • Candidates experienced in delivering professional workshops and seminars. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with a terminal degree.
  • Candidates with eight years of professional healthcare finance-related experience or eight years of senior healthcare leadership experience.
  • Teaching experience in a university setting, particularly in healthcare management, policy, accounting, finance, or healthcare financial management. (Copies of teaching evaluations will be required as part of the application packet).
