Who Our Mental Health Clinician Is:

  • You are a patient, polite, positive and dedicated team member within the Clinical Team.
  • You have excellent people skills and communication skills.
  • You are attentive to clients and team members alike.
  • You aspire to work within a leadership role and provide guidance/direction to the Counselor’s within the Clinical Team.
  • You are highly organized and able to time manage within a high level of proficiency.
  • You believe that providing individual and group counseling services on a wide range of clinical and community issues for individuals in residential treatment to address a substance use disorder is a vital part of recovery while working with vulnerable populations.
  • You have a, “no task is too small” attitude when assisting residents and their families in accessing community resources and services related to substance abuse, legal, mental health, medical and vocational/educational needs.
  • Working a flexible schedule, which may include working nights, weekends or holidays doesn’t bother you.

 What Our Mental Health Clinician Needs:

  1. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy with one (1) year experience working in a social service setting providing group counseling, family therapy and case management with chemically dependent clients required;
  2. NYS Licensure as a Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist required.  Candidates lacking this credential must be able to obtain this minimum standard during the six (6) month introductory employment probation period. 
  3. Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Records, and Outlook programs).
