Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general supervision of the Director, responsible for assisting in administration of the program. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Assist in planning and coordination of recreational and educational activities.
- Coordinate referrals with Geriatric Mental Health Program.
- Assist in crisis intervention with client emergencies and issues of health or mental health deterioration.
- Work with Director in program planning and development.
- Recruit and supervise the cook in all aspects of meal preparation and ensure compliance with all nutritional safety and compliance standards.
- Responsible for inventory control, purchase of food, disposables and program supplies.
- Review daily food use worksheets, monthly food and household supplies inventory.
- Compile statistics, prepare reports, and keep attendance and other required records updated; ensure that these records tie to required funding source database.
- Along with the Director, oversee the completion of necessary compliance standards as designated by DFTA i.e.: monthly test meals, incident logs, complaints logs, client surveys, etc.
- Interact directly with seniors, staff, volunteers, and program vendors.
- Ensure that staff are following necessary protocols and consult any issues leading to or needing disciplinary actions with Program Director.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving the time cards of direct reports.
- Represent agency in community and interagency activities.
- Other duties as required by program management
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and volunteers, including case assistance service staff in the provision of information, entitlement counseling and case assistance; serve as back-up for case assistance staff when necessary.
- Provide leadership and direction to direct reports to ensure the delivery of high performance, acting as an enthusiastic, positive and motivated coach.
- Along with the Director is responsible for the performance management of the teams to ensure that quality and deadlines are achieved and maintained and that any issues are managed in line with RiseBoro policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure teams are appropriately staffed at all times.
- Assist the Director in training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office, and working with funding source data base systems preferred
- Bilingual Spanish or Tagalog speaker preferred
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, gerontology or nursing and one year of human service experience (this may include internships). This may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree and two years of human services experience. Or an Associates Degree with three years of human service experience/ bookkeeping and or case assistance experience or High School Graduate or GED equivalent with five years of experience in Senior Center/Social Adult Day or Case Assistance experience.
