Overview

The 29I clinician works within the Residential Treatment Center and Maternity Mother Child Blended programs and is responsible for providing direct clinical services for youth in these units. This includes provision of individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, as well as the completion of clinical assessments and participation in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings. The 29I clinician must provide timely and thorough documentation of all of these services in the Electronic Health Record.

Responsibilities

Conduct formal assessments, including diagnosing

Prepare appropriate and timely written documentation of all clinical services delivered

Provide trauma informed, evidence-based individual, family and group therapy for residents

Complete clinical treatment plans (ISPs) and treatment plan updates for residents on assigned caseload

Train other staff in clinically relevant topics and help to create and foster therapeutic milieus based on the PBIS framework

 Participate in FTCs and intake interviews as needed, as well as meetings dedicated to admissions, transfers, and discharges

Work in collaboration with other inter-disciplinary team members. This includes facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings as well participating in meetings to discuss the needs of the program

Provide therapeutic interventions and/or crisis management as needed

Work Environment: 

This position is based in Rising Ground’s Yonkers RTC location and the Bronx MMCB program but may require travel to other program sites and office locations at times. 

Expected Hours of Work: 

You must be available to flexible hours including evenings, shift hours vary depending on the needs of the child and family.  

Qualifications

Master’s degree from accredited program, in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related area required and one of the following

    New York State Professional Licenses: LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, Psy.D.

Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based psychotherapy interventions preferred

Valid New York State Driver’s License Preferred

Bilingual/Spanish Preferred

Computer Proficiency, excellent writing skills to provide accurate and detailed notes
