About Soho Rep
Soho Rep is an award-winning off-Broadway theater that is known for producing and developing ambitious, socially relevant, cutting-edge new work by writers like César Alvarez, Christopher Chen, Shayok Misha Chowdhury, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Aleshea Harris, Lucas Hnath, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Daniel Alexander Jones, Hansol Jung, Raja Feather Kelly, Mara Vélez Meléndez, Nia Akilah Robinson, Jordan Tanahill, Kate Tarker, and Carmelita Tropicana.
Time Out New York recently named Soho Rep the “Best Theater in NYC,” saying “Soho Rep isn’t the last word in downtown experimental theater: Better than that, it’s often the first, championing major voices at key points in their careers…and Soho Rep’s low ticket prices help keep some of the city’s bravest, boldest and wildest theater within the reach of all New Yorkers.”
Since returning to production after the COVID-19 pandemic, Soho Rep has additionally established itself as a leader in pay equity for artists in the New York City theater community. We have also recently announced that we are departing our longtime (beloved, but small, inaccessible, and increasingly deteriorating) home downtown and entering a temporary space sharing partnership with Playwrights Horizons. As we enter our 50th Anniversary Season and seek out a new permanent home, we are seeking two new team members to make a meaningful difference at Soho Rep during this exciting next phase of our company’s evolution.
