Join The Doe Fund on our mission to break the cycles of homelessness, addiction, and criminal recidivism by providing holistic services, housing, and work opportunities to the under-served populations including the formerly homeless and incarcerated, disconnected youth, veterans, and people living with AIDS. We are currently seeking a Supervisor of Support Services to join our growing team. This position will be working out of our Porter Avenue Facility in Brooklyn NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate services and maintain open interdepartmental communication by liaising with departments such as House Management, Maintenance, and outside agencies, including contractors to ensure that departments are advised on facility concerns.
  • Supervise staff to ensure that Trainee payroll is submitted as per the TDF deadline by the Facility Director, or Associate Program Director.
  • Monitor departments entering hours worked in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Become familiar with the HRB system in order to monitor employee time and leave and assist with the hiring process.
  • Monitor purchases of Cleaning/ Office Supplies responsibly.
  • Review all purchasing requests and follow up on orders already placed.
  • Ensure that important internal responsibilities including staff time and leave, client payroll activities, VA billing for the GPD program, various Trainee/ Client lists, Monthly facility Calendar, etc. are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Update Director Staff Meeting Notes daily
  • Monitor daily kitchen assignments to maintain the minimum number of 6 trainees assigned daily.
  • Provide leadership, organization, quality management, supervision, and oversight of House Managers, and Housekeeping Staff expectations, and pay attention to Quality Assurance.
  • Attend/facilitate internal/external meetings and provide routine Supervision.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Facility Director.
  • Manage Bed Assignments related to I/O Workbook, Clients Belongs Policy, including multiple related databases efficiently, and related Policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a nonprofit
  • Experience with evidence-based practices and complex system changes.
  • Ability to evaluate and advise on improving efficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a creative thinker
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
