Overview
Harlem School of the Arts seeks a Marketing Associate to support marketing efforts through cross-channel marketing that drives program enrollments, event attendance, and strategic institutional growth. Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Associate will work toward audience expansion while maintaining brand integrity and ensuring that organizational vision and values are successfully expressed across all channels.
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours. We offer a hybrid remote schedule of Monday through Thursday in the office and Friday remote. (Days in office/remote subject to change.)
Principal Duties:
- Provide digital marketing support to build engagement and awareness across external channels including email and social media.
- Support the Director of Marketing & Communications in developing marketing materials to promote classes, events, and public programs.
- Collaborate with artistic staff to identify program marketing opportunities.
- Conduct surveys to measure customer and community satisfaction and engagement.
- Monitor, analyze, and provide reports on enrollment, student data, and sales trends.
- Maintain Constant Contact and VIP distribution lists.
- Create documents and contribute to internal and external communications campaigns.
- Provide general administrative support related for marketing activities and meetings.
- Manage additional projects as assigned.
Digital Marketing
- Provide social media coverage for HSA activities including classes and events.
- Create digital content to promote and showcase HSA activities.
- Maintain digital marketing calendar.
- Collaborate with Communications Team to develop and execute email marketing campaigns.
- Grow audience engagement through strategic measures.
- Track and report data insights and statistics on digital audience engagement.
- Communicate calendar and content updates to IT Director to facilitate website updates.
Event Marketing and Support
- Develop event-specific ticketing pages and manage guest lists for performances, concerts, and public programs.
- Conduct and compile post-event surveys.
- Update event marketing templates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or progress towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or an arts-related field
- 3-5 years of marketing and communications experience or related field
- Solid understanding of Social Media content creation, strategy, and analysis
- Proficiency in social media platforms including HootSuite, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience with design software like Canva, some InDesign
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities
- Background in the arts or arts education a plus
