Description
The Juilliard School seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Manager to join our finance team. This position will support the FP&A Director, the AVP of Finance, and the Controller. The incumbent will be vital in advancing the organization’s financial goals, planning and analysis processes, and providing insights on Contribution Revenue for review and decision-making process. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data modeling and a passion for the performing arts and education.
This position is based in New York City and will require the finalist to be on-site with an opportunity for hybrid days as agreed upon with their manager. This may be subject to change, due to evolving needs of the operations.
Salary range: $125K to $135K

Responsibilities
- Support the institution’s budget and planning process with the FP&A Director. Monitor monthly results and explain year-over-year and budget variances; Redesign and document FP&A Budget Processes
- Report, analyze, and model gifts for scholarships and school programs.
- Lead the forecast and analysis of Juilliard’s contribution revenues and associated expenses.
- Review funding sources, develop and maintain reporting tools and database, and produce ad hoc analyses, business metrics, financial models, and support requests from the Office of Advancement.
- Review and prepare the accounting for contribution revenue and coordinate with the Office of Advancement.
- Support the annual audit process.
- Maintain Business Intelligence dashboards with critical financial and operational data/metrics; provide excellent reporting and ad-hoc analysis to facilitate senior staff and departmental decisions
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Five years’ experience in FP&A or Data Modeling, with a preference for exposure to accounting in higher education or non-profit organization
- Results-oriented with a strong customer service focus
- Exceptional financial analysis skills, including proven ability to maintain and update sophisticated financial models and manipulate large data sets; Proficiency in Excel and data transformation and analysis
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-task under strict deadlines
- Experience working with ERP systems (especially Oracle Cloud) (GL + Planning & Consolidation systems)
- Ability and desire to take initiative and problem-solve with a passion to learn new subjects while being a team player and contributing to a collegial group environment
- Understanding of the values and mission of The Juilliard School
Preferred Background
- Prior working knowledge of ERP systems (especially Oracle Cloud), databases, and reporting/analysis packages
- Use of Power Query, Power Pivot, Oracle Essbase, Microsoft Power BI
- Exposure to financial concepts and accounting practices applicable to not-for-profit organizations or higher-education institutions
