JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary: The Accountant supports the Comptroller in all aspects of department financial operations. Will be responsible for daily account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and financial recordings. Accountant has excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the continued success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, classes, A/P and Inter-Account transactions.
  • Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner.
  • Prepare and maintain an accurate schedule of all accounts listed on the balance sheet.
  • Assist senior staff with audit preparations and reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly invoice and claims for funding sources.
  • Carry out daily and monthly Bank Reconciliations without supervision and a high level of accuracy.
  • Monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP.
  • Maintain all supporting documents and worksheets organized pertaining to journal entries and transactions completed.
  • Communicate with finance staff members professionally and accordingly to ensure any required documentation is prepared and obtained quickly and efficiently.
  • Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple NAICA sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $67,000.00 per year
