POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Business Systems Intern will work on various IT projects related to application inventory, enterprise content management, and service desk systems. The intern will use development, low-code solutions, relational databases, and software testing skills to develop, validate, and document applications and systems. The intern will also assist in creating training materials and knowledgebase articles. The intern will work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. The intern must be a student with excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Experience with MS Power Platform and .NET development is preferred.

To be considered you must be a student enrolled in a undergraduate program or graduate program. The Internship program will begin on June 3rd and end on August 2nd. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop application inventory/ licensing database for SaaS and desktop software using low-code solutions like Power Apps and Power BI

• Validate and clean up application inventory data 

• Review/update/add knowledge base articles for our new service desk system and 3rd party helpdesk        

• Participate in extended UAT testing for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) project ECM

• Assist in the creation of training material for ECM

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ACTIVITIES

• Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS.

• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, including using collaborative productivity and work management tools

• No- or Low-code development experience

• Relational database development experience

• Strong documentation skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Software testing skills

• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

• Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

• Ability to conduct research into application issues and products.

• Highly self-motivated and directed.

• Keen attention to detail.

Preferred:

o Experience with MS Power Platform (i.e., Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)

o .NET development experience
