Overview

Position Summary:

Under direction of the Research Program Manager, assists with the coordination, implementation, and management of the project, “Effectiveness testing of a bilingual videogame intervention to decrease contraception non-use among sexually active Black and Hispanic adolescents: A randomized trial.”

Job Responsibilities:

·      Assists with the recruitment and enrollment of study participants in coordination with community partners throughout the five boroughs  

·      Assesses participant prescreening data for study eligibility inclusion criteria

·      Facilitates the informed consent process with study participants and ensures proper consent protocols are followed

·      Coordinates study visits with community partner sites and maintains communication with partner sites

·      Ensures intervention is implemented as designed

·      Regularly attends all in-person study visits with community partners and coordinates participants’ in-person attendance at community partner study visits as scheduled

·      Conducts participant follow-ups

·      Assists with database management and weekly report generation

·      Assists Research Program Manager with data analysis for semi-annual reports to funding agency

·      Performs other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience: 

·      Bachelor’s degree is preferred

·      At least 2-3 years of experience in an administrative support role, ideally in a clinical, academic, or research setting

·      Fluent Spanish-speaking is required

Additional Experience/Interest:

·      Working/volunteering with teens

·      Comfortable discussing sexual and reproductive health topics

·      Willingness to travel to all boroughs in New York City

·      Ability to work occasional late afternoon/evening/weekend hours if deemed essential by community partners for recruitment and study visits (daily hours to be flexed as to not exceed a defined work week of 37.5 hours)

·      Experience or general interest in educational video game design
