About Us: The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is dedicated to fostering a vibrant cultural community by providing a platform for diverse artistic expressions in the form of live music, comedy, film, and arts education. Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and passionate Marketing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, excellent communication skills, and a creative flair for content creation. As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in promoting our events, engaging with our audience, and enhancing our online presence.

Responsibilities:

Under the purview of the Executive Director and Director of Marketing, the ideal candidate will:

– Create engaging and visually appealing content for our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

– Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive ticket sales and class registrations, while promoting our mission.

– Schedule and publish content across all platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.

– Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and messages, and respond promptly to inquiries and feedback.

– Ensure comprehensive coverage of performances and special events.

– Analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports on performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

– Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into our strategy.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

– Proven experience managing or assisting in social media accounts for organizations or brands, preferably in the arts or entertainment industry.

– Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.

– Proficiency in social media management tools such as Meta Business Suite

– Experience with graphic design and video editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Final Cut Pro is a plus.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

– Passion for the performing arts and a commitment to our nonprofit mission.

Pay range: $23-25. This is a part-time position with flexible hours between Wednesday-Sunday, including nights, and may become a permanent full-time position.
