Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Four Freedoms Park Conservancy is seeking a full-time Development Associate who will report to the Chief Executive Officer and manage a portfolio of fundraising activities including grant research, grant writing, data management, drafting communications, and event production.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Gift Processing and Data Management: Timely and efficient processing and acknowledgment of donations, creating and maintaining accurate donor records, and creating reports from DonorPerfect

Donor Stewardship Support: Supporting the CEO in the management and stewardship of donors and prospects, including members of the Board of Directors, by preparing presentations, reports, meeting materials, and correspondence

Foundation Fundraising Support: Researching prospective foundation funders and drafting foundation grant requests, including project budgets
Individual Fundraising Support: Drafting and sending individual fundraising appeals, direct mail, and email solicitations

Event Production: Taking an active role in the planning and executing of fundraising and engagement events, including administrative support, processing mailings and invitations, and maintaining event records

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience
Top-notch administrative and project management skills and impeccable attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of donor CRMs/databases, online fundraising tools, and Microsoft Office; experience with DonorPerfect preferred
Flexibility, curiosity, creativity, and a track record of taking initiative
Enthusiasm for and a demonstrated commitment to FFPC’s mission

LOCATION: This is a hybrid position located in New York City. While primarily remote, the position will require reporting to FFPC’s WeWork office in SoHo and FDR Four Freedoms State Park on Roosevelt Island.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual salary range of $65,000 to $70,000
